Crime reporter Tess Nielsen is determined to get an exclusive vampire story, even if it means indulging a certain dhampir agent, whose dangerous sensuality sets her blood on fire. She lands in a bit of vampire trouble, but she can take care of herself, which is why she’s infuriated when the sexy agent intervenes and carries her off to his home.
Milan Markovic likes his affairs hot and brief. Spirited Tess Nielsen stirs his most primal instincts, but she suspects his only motive is seduction. It isn’t until Tess is kidnapped that he realizes his feelings for her aren’t limited to physical pleasure. Losing her isn’t an option.
Primal Passion is one hell of an earthy read. Yep, I got my vampire kick good and proper, but I also got so much more. Tess is the kind of woman you may find yourself wishing you could be. Not just because she’s in tune with her inner self and knows exactly what she wants, but because she’s caught the attention of the delightful Milan. The problem is, will he stick around for longer than a hot and sexy fling?
I willed him to. Wanted him to love her with all his heart, and as the story progressed and I watched the change in him, I knew I’d get what I wanted. He is damn hot, one fine specimen of vampireness that had me all aquiver with daydreams long after the book ended. I mean, can I get a pwoar here? He’s masculine, caring, but the ultimate “thing” about him that did it was the sense of danger that for me, poured off him in waves. He’s used to being obeyed, so when Tess comes along and challenges his patience by being her own woman…the sparks there are fabulous.
Quite simply, I loved him, will never forget him, and when I close my eyes I can still see him in my head. When Armand does the baddie deed and Milan goes into action, well, you could say I read too many words per minute, each one tripping over the other in my effort to watch our hero save the day. He’s bloody marvellous!
…he was at least a head taller than her.
“…Don’t waste your time trying to seduce me. This is all business.”
Yes, on the first two. No on the third, sweetheart.
No matter how thick a wall she’d erected around her heart, Milan had snagged a chunk of it.
Milan! Relief pushed through her. (Me too! I yelled a “Yay!” a “Thank GOD he’s here, the beautiful bugger!” Honestly, he gets you like this!)
A fantastic read, one I thoroughly enjoyed. Milan is a vampire to set anyone on the delicious road to enjoying a great tale. I love Ms Balos’ style and, of course, her vampires. More vampires please!
