Sensation Play by Ann Mayburn

Retired German cage fighter, Jonas Becker, has finally settled down in Las Vegas to open his own training center. A chance meeting with his dream woman at a charity ball leads him to hanging out at her favorite coffee shop where he overhears the perfect opportunity to win her over. One orgasm at a time.

Erica Alman is sick of her overprotective older brother's ruining her love life, especially after they chased away that amazing mystery man that she had danced with a the charity ball six months ago. With the help of her best friend, she signs up with the 1 Night Stand dating service. Her request is simple. She wants a dangerous, rough man to fake break into her hotel room at the Castillo resort and force her to have multiple orgasms. Oh, and she wants the man to be big, bald, and have a German accent, just like Jonas.

Using every ounce of his skill as an experienced Dom, Jonas hopes to win Erica over before the night ends. He can only hope that the pleasure he can bring her will make the beautiful woman look past his scarred and battered exterior to the man within who can give her sensations like no other.

Sensation Play (part of the One Night Stand collection) is a short erotic story that hits all the right spots.

Right from the beginning the hero, Jonas Becker, was working it for me. He’s big and tough with a sexy accent, and when the story was in his POV his soft nature shone through. I adored his physical description, from scars, callouses and tattoos to the curve of his cock.

Erica is one lucky lady, well, apart from her meddling brothers, and she knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to get it. She is a very likeable character and I enjoyed knowing something she didn’t as the story unfolded.

The plot (set in Las Vegas) wasn’t a rollercoaster ride of guesswork, it was fairly predictable, but actually that was just what I wanted and it worked just right. The author has a lovely voice, flows seamlessly from scene to scene and when it came down to the nitty gritty she wrote it hot, hot, hot and then turned it up a little bit more. Great stuff. I devoured this book in one sitting.

Best Bits: I think I fell for Jonas in the second line – “Well, as much as a man who looked like he spent a lot of time on the rougher side of hell could blend into the lunch time crowd.”

“You want me to play the role of the invader, come into your room, and make you my pleasure slave, yes?” – Okay then J
The blindfold!
“My cock is a privilege that you have not yet earned. Arms above your head.” – Jonas speaking.
Verdict: If you like your heroes to be dominant, sexy, German-speaking cage fighters go grab a copy of Sensation Play. If you like sex, sex and some more sex in a short story, grab a copy of Sensation Play. If you just like a story with heart and a HEA (and smokin’ pages) go grab a copy of Sensation Play. You won’t be disappointed whatever it is you’re after. I’m certainly looking forward to reading more by this author.
